Earlier today I posted my views on the current surge of student protests against Israel’s behavior. In it, I discounted the assertion that the protesters were mostly outsiders. While my statement may remain true, there have been more outsiders than I had believed or represented — at least in New York City, according to the NPR report.

The point is whether or not “outsiders” were genuinely there for the cause or there to disrupt.
